How to Connect Your WhatsApp to Zenziva

Once your account is live and you're in the Zenziva dashboard, follow these steps to connect your WhatsApp number, then verify your business with Meta to go live.

What to expect

Timeline from setup to going live

Three phases, end to end. Meta business verification is a required step before your number goes live; the blue tick is a separate, optional step later.

Open the connect menu

WhatsApp Setting

Go to Settings › WhatsApp Setting in the Zenziva dashboard.

Add WhatsApp

Click "Add WhatsApp" to add your WhatsApp number.

Login & authorize Meta

Log in to Facebook

Authorize the App

Review and accept the data access permissions requested by the application.

Select Business Account

Choose your existing Meta Business account or create a new one.

Set up WABA & number

Create new or Connect from the app

Two options here:

•Pick "Create a WhatsApp Business account" to use a brand-new number.

•Pick "Connect a WhatsApp Business app" to link a number from the WhatsApp Business app on your phone, then jump to the Coexistence section below.

Business Information

Create or edit your business portfolio and WhatsApp Business Account profile.

Add Phone Number

Enter the phone number you want to connect. It must not already be registered on any WhatsApp account.

Verify Phone Number

Enter the OTP code WhatsApp sends via SMS or a phone call.

Review & finish

Permission Review

Read the summary of permissions granted to the application, then confirm.

Finish

Click "Finish" to complete the setup, then wait for the sync to finish in the Zenziva dashboard.

Alternative path

Coexistence, Linking a Number from the WhatsApp Business App

Choose "Connect a WhatsApp Business app" in Step 6 if your number is already active on the mobile WhatsApp Business app. ⚠️ IMPORTANT: You must open the WhatsApp Business app on your phone at least once every 14 days to keep the connection active, otherwise access to WABA features will be lost.

Select country code +62, then enter your number without a leading 0 or 62 (e.g. 81234xxxxx).

Information regarding sharing access will be displayed. Click Next.

Use the WhatsApp Business app on your phone to scan the QR code displayed on the screen.

In the WhatsApp Business app, you'll receive a message from Facebook Business. Tap Connect.

Tap "Connect to the Business Platform" to start the linking process.

Choose whether to share chat history (Recommended: Don't share chat).

Important Notes

For "Create a WhatsApp Business account" (a new number), the number must not already be connected to any WhatsApp account.
Coexistence (Connect a WhatsApp Business app) only works for a number on the WhatsApp Business app, not regular WhatsApp. If your number is still on regular WhatsApp, migrate it to the WhatsApp Business app first.
You need admin access to the Meta Business account.
Verification codes expire within a few minutes, enter them right away.
Keep your Meta Business information updated to stay compliant.
